Project of the week March 28th, 2014 Hand Crafted Custom Fireplace Entertainment Center

Years ago we hired Appleton Renovations to work on our previous home and after moving we knew when it came time to transform our living room we would have Appleton Renovations build our Hand Crafted Custom Fireplace Entertainment Center. We advised Ken we were really not theater people… Ken recommend a Samsung surround bar solution and wow to our surprise it sounds amazing! The project turned out fantastic and our room now looks huge! We already have another project in mind and look forward to having them return.

“Upon moving into our new home last year we had Appleton Renovations transform our Fireplace into a beautiful Hand Crafted Custom Built-In Entertainment Center along with a Home Theater Solution… We so pleased that we knew we would have them return for the next stage of our renovations, after several months of looking at our hideous 1970 wet bar we thought it was time to have Ken Appleton come back to see what ideas he could suggest to make the area more functional with the hopes of creating a space for our children to do their homework… Within minutes of Ken’s arrival he drafted a desk area with a grand Column Entry that simply blew our minds!

The Hand Crafted Custom Desk – Workstation exceeded our expectations and funny enough we now already have another area that Ken has some great ideas, we look forward to our next Transformation!

Hand Crafted Entertainment Center & Theater Solution

My husband and I found Ken Appleton on Angie’s List back in 2012 while we were living in Costa Mesa. We wanted to completely change the look of our entertainment/fireplace in the family room, since it was the first thing you saw when entering our home. From our first meeting with Ken, he was punctual (actually early) and was very professional. He was calm and explained the entire process to us, explaining that it would take his crew only 3 days to build the Hand Crafted Custom Built-In and then two days to finish/paint it. (We also obtained quotes from other companies but knew that we would, ultimately, be the happiest working with Ken.) His crew showed up every day on-time, cleaned up their mess and were totally respectful while working in our home – they were also very patient with my two toddlers who were very curious what was going on in our home. All of the work was completed during the timeframe Ken had promised and I can tell you that the impact the entertainment center had on our family room was astounding and changed the entire look of our home. We LOVED the way it turned out. We were only able to enjoy the new wall for about 11 months because we ended up selling our home and moving to a larger home a few cities away. We know that the money we put into having the entertainment center done made the difference in how fast our home sold (in 6 days). As soon as we got to our new home (where the fireplace is not done) my husband and I looked at each other and both said “We’re using Ken again!!!” We still talk about the entertainment center in our old home and how much we loved looking at it. Hopefully in the next few months we are going to hire Ken again to transform our new family room into the same beautiful space we had at our other home. Thank you, Ken, for making the process so painless and being such a pleasure to work with – can’t wait to work with you again.

Volkman Project — Appleton Renovations Hand Crafted Entertainment Center

I have had Appleton Renovations perform many projects in my home over the years & the key decision to bringing them back for the next stage of my homes transformation is the fact that Ken’s creative vision always exceeds my expectation… His team is extremely professional & polite… every project starts and finishes on time as well.I laugh now because one of the early conversations we had is I insisted that I really didn’t care about the TV and that the smaller the better.. Now that I have a beautiful 60” Samsung HDTV theater solution I am so glad I took Ken’s recommendation, the size is perfect! During my training I was absolutely blown away by the 3D demo movie, I told Ken “I don’t think I’m ever going to leave this room, this is gorgeous!” I also love that I can now send Music & photos directly from my iPhone and computer to the theater solution.

In closing I simply cant believe how big the room appears now! The fact is we are taking less room than the store purchased cabinets I had.

Now that my family room Hand Crafted Entertainment Center Fireplace is completed I already have my next project in mind.

Appleton Renovation is simply the best!
